    Apocalyptic Fiction - Issue #16

For the 16th issue of The Sirens Call, we're asking for poetry, flash fiction and short stories that take place during the Apocalypse.

We're looking for Apocalyptic Fiction-whether it's caused by natural disaster, a disease or virus, an economic crash, or any other scenario that you choose to end the world with. We'll leave those particulars up to you. Keep in mind that while we're not adverse to tales of Zombies, we'd like the focus kept on the Apocalypse itself.

How would the world end if you held its fate in your hands?

Submission deadline is midnight, July 31, 2014 (Pacific Standard Time).

WE DO NOT ACCEPT WORKS containing pedophilia, human bestiality, or overtly descriptive/graphic rape scenes.

All contributors will receive a PDF copy of the issue that their work is featured in upon publication.

We welcome short stories (1000 - 2500 words), flash fiction (300 - 500 words), drabbles (minimum of 5 for review per author), and dark poetry.

Artwork, photography and literary reviews are also accepted.

Submissions are to be directed to our submissions email address only. The subject line should contain 'ezine16 Submission, (your title), (your name)'

Formatting - all submissions should be sent as .doc or .docx files formatted as follows: Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, single line spacing, first line indent. Italicize what you would like italicized, bold what you would like bolded. We will not interpret formating as anything other than it appears in the submitted document. Dialogue requires quotes ( " ), inner thought should be italicized, and spoken or rememberd quotes should be encapsulated in single ticks ( ' ). If there is any question about formatting, please contact our editor through the submission email address.

Ads: Full page, single book cover ads are available for purchase at the rate of $10 per ad per issue. Publisher/community ads are available at the rate of $25 per page per issue. Please contact for details.

We ask for one time publication rights only; stories that are previously published elsewhere are accepted provided that you hold the rights to them.
